Denny Tilton: Bio

A native of New Jersey, Denny has been performing for his devoted fans for over two decades. His heartwarming and thought provoking songs touch the heart and speak to fans of all ages.

Denny's latest release "Long Way Home", is a self produced effort that came out in December of 2007, on his SPI label. For this project Denny recorded tracks in Nashville, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He used noted musicians as Gary Oleyar (Loggins & Messina), Larry Beaird(Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts), Mark Clifford (Springsteen-Seeger sessions) as well as his regular players Tom Askin (The Samples), Loni Bach, Tom Delaney, Kel Pilshaw, and Alan Bowers

In October 2003, Denny released his third CD "Shoulda Seen The Dream". Signed to a distribution deal with Bos Music label, the CD was produced by Dan Myers. It gained national attention to enthusiastic reviews in Relix Magazine's "On the Verge" section (Dec. 2003/Jan.2004) It was also selected for review in Singer Magazine (March/April 2004).

In March of 2000, Denny released his second CD entitled "Generations". The CD was co-produced by Dan Myers, formerly a member of the band From Good Homes. Generations has a warm inviting feel and encompasses an array of musical styles including folk, country, pop and ragtime. It was picked by Performing Songwriter Magazine as one of their Top 12 DIY (do it yourself) independent releases it's Sept/Oct. issue. That year Denny was also chosen to perform in the "new artist showcase" at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.

Tilton's first CD, "Real Life Stories" received a 1998 Best Songwriter Award from the Northwest New Jersey Music Awards. For this self produced effort Denny used some of the finest musicians from the Northwest NJ music scene.

Denny has opened for a wide array of performers including...Dave Mason, Roger McGuinn, John Sebastian, David Bromberg, Chris Hillman, The Moody Blues, John Hartford, The Strawbs, Renaissance, Christopher Cross and more.
